1st poster: i really like the quote and the background, but not the color of the font. i don't really think that it's bright enough. the blue isn't even close to the background blue, so it looks mismatched. 2nd poster: this one is really hard to read. the yellow background and the small font size makes it almost impossible to read.
"Darwin" The shapes in the back are very intricate, and the overlapping is nicely done.
"Waste" is misspelled. I think the color choice is a little bland; make some "oompf" with color! :D
"Budda" The yellow, font, and orientation of the text are all appealing to the eye. However, the two side texts are very hard to see, and could possibly be aligned in a way that is less on a grid.
I like the idea of the quote, but the way you typed it made it kind of hard to read. Nice idea with the vertical type thing and all, but I think that this particular quote would work better with larger horizontal type and maybe a less bright background...or maybe just not yellow...(but thats just my opinion)
